Wid’s Anime Shopping List

rightstufBanner01-468Welcome to Wid’s Anime Shopping List. Here are some of the coolest things I’ve found out there for the Anime fan. Enjoy!

Newest Additions:

As Christmas is about a month away along with the New Year what do I really need? I need a Calendar for 2015. Wall calendars are fine, but I really like the day planners. And those can be picked up anywhere. What I need is an anime related day planners. The best place I have found for anime calendars is www.Jbox.com website. While there is a lot (too much!) to choose from, I think I have settled on the Rebuild of Evangelion Schedule Book 2015 for a mere $16.00. If I was interested in a wall hanging calendar I might consider 2015 Anime Calendar — Non Non Biyori. It is a preorder. Jbox’s collection of anime/manga calendars is great.

Wid’s Shopping Tips:

Over the years I have spent way more money than I ever want to admit on all kinds of Anime related products. Here are some of my suggestions for “unpleasant surprise free” shopping:

1. Buy local. When you can, try and support a local dealer in your area even if it costs you a few pennies more than shopping online. Let them know what you are interested in and give them your email so they can contact you. You may be surprised what they can find for you. If you don’t have a local shop, or if the one you have is not interested in your business, shop online instead.

2. Buy from a reputable dealer. Do they have a contact phone number and physical address listed? Do they state their return policy? Do they clearly state shipping methods and cost? Is their online ordering system secure? (Example: Any page where you are asked to enter your credit card should have an address starting with https://). Do you know anybody who has bought from them before and can recommend them? Do yourself a favor and avoid any place that you are not comfortable with. Deals that appear too good to be true are often rip-offs.

3. Get some good Karma with your purchases. We’ve bought tons of products over the years from Right Stuf and have been really happy doing business with them. So much so that we contacted them to become a “Right Stuf Anime Associate”. What this means is that whenever you click on one of the links we have to their site and purchase something, we get a small percentage on some things. This adds nothing to what you pay for the items and is a great way that you can help us to pay for the cost of hosting our site and providing content for you. Every little bit helps and we greatly appreciate it. You can click here (or the banner below) to get started.
